“Concours Inter-Universitaire de Débat de La Haye”
Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences has participated for three consecutive academic years in the international Francophone debate competition “Concours Inter-Universitaire de Débat de La Haye”. The competition is organised by the Corax Foundation, with the official support of the French Institute and the Embassy of France in the Netherlands, as well as the support of the Association of Francophone Universities (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie – AUF).
This is an inter-university competition bringing together universities from around the world. Participating students develop and present arguments on political, environmental and social issues of European and international relevance. They also have the opportunity to engage with prominent figures, including ambassadors, business leaders and representatives of NGOs, who are invited to discuss and exchange views with the participating students in parallel events.
Each participating university is represented by a team of two or three students from any of the three cycles of study.
In addition, Panteion University supports the organisation of the competition through its participation in the evaluation process, with two members of its academic community serving each year as judges on the evaluation panels.
This inter-university cooperation enables students of Panteion University to interact with students from universities around the world. At the same time, it strengthens the University’s outward-looking orientation and its participation in an international dialogue with significant prospects, both at inter-university level and in terms of engagement with the wider social and professional environment through the parallel events accompanying the competition.
